03/29/11 Dwarf Tulips

My red dwarf tulips are starting to sprout up.  Can't wait to see them bloom!

03/28/11 Grow Baby Grow

Jim is trying to grow pepper plants from seed.  Trouble is with all of the cold weather we have had up here he can't get the soil temperature to raise to what it needs to be.  Now he has a lamp going on the plants during the day to try and warm up the soil.

Love how this little guy is looking right at me!

03/26/11 What I think about this....

I love how Buck lets me subtly know what he thinks about being forced to lay next to Indy for a photo.  It has gotten so bad that he now starts to run away when I grab the camera.

03/25/11 Flight of the Molting Yellow Finch

Supposedly spring has arrived.  You wouldn't know it by the snow that is falling right now, but the male yellow finches are molting into their breeding plumage so I guess it must really be spring.

03/24/11 I will survive!

Thankfully my crocuses are a hearty bunch!  They have all bloomed, but we got a little over an inch of snow last night.  This little guy still seems to be going strong though.

03/23/11 Bucky is socute

I couldn't pass this cute picture of Buck up.  He is so sweet and I think it comes through in his eyes in this picture.

03/22/11 Whatch ya doin'?

This little squirrel was trying to be sneaky, but the dogs saw him anyways.  This was snapped right as the dogs starting scratching at the door.

03/21/11 Rain, Rain Go away!

First full day of spring and it rained all day.  Here is our poor little sapling drenched.

3/17/11 Child's Rocking chair

Here is the child's rocking chair that was generously donated by Direct Factory Furniture for the raffle at the St.Baldrick's event.  Of course when I put it on the floor the dogs had to come over to check it out.

3/16/11 Girl Scout Cookies - Yum!

One of our local Girl Scout Troops donated a gift basket filled with 6 boxes of girl scout cookies for St.Baldrick's event!

I love it looks like this Morning Dove is looking at itself in a mirror - but really there were two of them at the feeder.

3/14/11 House Finch

The sunlight was just beautiful this evening on this little guy.  common House Finch filling up at our feeder.

03/13/11 Yum

Here is Bucky finishing a Pistachio.  We discovered he loves them when Jim dropped one on the floor by accident and Buck beat him to it.  He has a hard time eating them though without his back teeth.  It is quite amusing!

03/12/11 Too Many Books?

Is there such a thing as too many books?  I think not!  I am well on my way of teaching that to Rhys too.  This is one shelf of books that are his.  The worst part is I have sold a lot of his babyish books or given them away.  Jim may be right, I might have a small book addiction.

Well the photographer from the Post Standard was nice enough to take a picture of me and Rhys with my camera for our photo of the day.  Obviously Rhys still isn't feeling 100% and he is rocking the bed head big time - but what the heck.

Our little squirrel friend has not been deterred by the dogs and diligently comes to the feeder everyday now.  Today he was totally aware that I was there and kept looking right at me.

03/01/11 Tastefully Simple

In continuing with the St.Baldrick's raffle item theme this week, here is a photo of the very first raffle item we received.  It is a huge gift basket filled with a lot of Tastefully Simple items.  I think I may have to bid on this one myself!  It was donated all the way from Maryland by my wonderful friend Shelli!  Thanks for supporting the cause from so far away Shelli!
