5/31/11 Awww.. So Cute Together!

My boys can be so cute together!  They both like to swing on the porch swing and the lighting was perfect tonight.  If only they could be this sweet together all of the time!

5/29/11 A Refreshing Dip

Here is a Gray catbird enjoying a refreshing dip in Jim's Aunt's birdbath on this crazy hot and humid day.  It had a grand time splashing water everywhere.  A Robin came along and shooed it away but it came back time and again.  I think it must have felt good because we were all sweating while sitting in the shade!

5/28/11 9 days old

The baby Robins 9 days old and just about to bust out of the nest.  I have a feeling one of the mornings I will go out there and find the nest empty.

Wow this little squirrel came right up to our window today.  I love how you can see the reflection of our house in its eye.

5/19/11 Robins hatched

Our baby Robins finally hatched.  It seems like forever since they laid the eggs.  Very hard to get a photo though because of where they built the nest.  I had to resort to the Kodak Easyshare to get this one!

We get a ton of House Finches and I usually don't include them because they are so common and such plain little birds.  Sometimes though plain is nice.  So here is a pair of female house Finches.

Decoy's Gold Buckle was born 11 years ago today.  We love you Buck - the best dog in the world!

5/15/11 Home made Blueberry muffins!

I got an awesome recipe for homemade blueberry muffins from a great friend.  So this morning we had fresh blueberry yumminess in our house!

5/14/11 Glow

I took this picture of Indy sniffing the glowing ball tonight in the laundry room without the flash.  I love how you can just make out the outline of his nose in it.

5/13/11 New Toy

Indy and Buck got a new ball that lights up and changes colors.  Indy loves it.  He really isn't a great sharer - but then most toddlers aren't ;-)  The quality isn't that great because I took the photo in a darkened room so that you could see how the ball glows.

5/9/11 Fun with the Hose

So while Buck runs away when we get the hose out, Indy loves it!  He loves to pounce on the water and try to bite it.  It made for some fun times in the back yard today.

5/6/11 Male Bluebird Feeding Family

Here is the male bluebird coming to the box with a  live mealworm to feed his family.  I literally stood in the same spot in the yard for 20 minutes waiting for him to feel  safe enough to come the box with me there so that I could get this shot.  Well worth it!

5/5/11 Hello Momma!

Well we have three Robin's eggs that have been laid.  Here is Momma sitting on the nest today.  She is not a big fan of Indy though as he likes to chase her.  I am just waiting for her to dive bomb him!

5/4/11 White Crowned Sparrow

This little guy started coming to the feeder on Monday.  Apparently we are in the migratory path that these birds take every year.  Right now they are on their way back to Canada.  Very skittish birds - took forever to get this photo!

5/3/11 More Tulips

So my tulips are blooming so well this year that I was able to make a second bouquet out of them.  The first lasted almost a week.  So nice to brighten up the house with all the rain that we have had.

I thought there were three baby bluebirds - but it turns out there are four of them!  It is so much fun watching them grow!

4/30/11 Rhys' plant

Rhys planted a marigold at daycare and brought it home Friday.  looks like that will be planted out front after the wall is built.
