my goal for 2012 is to take one picture every week! In 2011 I was hoping to make a picture a day,but that was too much for my hectic yet boring life. So we'll see what 2012 brings!

7/17/11 Blueberry Pie
Jim's dad went blueberry picking and gave us enough to make a pie. This is my version of the blueberry and cream pie. Turned out so yummy!!!!
7/15/11 Pretty Male Gold Finch
This little guy landed on the birdbath this hot day and I couldn't help but notice him. He was so striking in the bright sunshine.
7/14/11 Vintage's Crossroads of America
So since Indy was bumped yesterday for the fornicating birds I thought I would make it up to him and post a picture today. Happy Belated first Birthday Indiana.
7/13/11 The Birds and The Bees
or at least just the birds. Today is Indy's first birthday and he was supposed to be picture of the day, but he was bumped when I caught our sparrows doing the wild thing! I mean what are the odds of even seeing something like this let alone catching it on film.

7/10/11 Why I am sore tonight
We have decided to take out the original retaining wall and replace it with a new wall made of the new stones. To save on money I tackled the majority of the demo work myself! Man am I sore now though. Apparently swinging a sledgehammer for 5 hours and whacking it against a wall that doesn't want to give really hurts the body!
7/09/11 Finally Riding
Rhys and I were able to ride today - first time in almost four years. Amazing how much he has grown in that time!

7/7/11 Marigold
This is the Marigold plant that Rhys gave me for Mother's Day this year. There is a small fly on it that uses a mimicry of a bee for protection.
7/6/11 Bunch of Sparrows
The Blue Birds have fledged and we cleaned out the box. Now there is a fight by the sparrows to get the house - check out how many of them are there!
7/5/11 Gold Finch
Here is one of the beautiful male Gold Finches that comes to our feeders - gotta love how he pops in the setting sunlight!
07/04/11 Female Red Winged Black Bird
We have a pari of Red winged Blackbirds that come to our feeders. This is the female -notice how she looks more like a large sparrow than the Blackbird.
