02/04/11 Dumb Luck

So even the best photographer needs some dumb luck sometimes.  Today there is a series of photos for the photo of the day because today's dumb luck necessitates it.  Here is the story:  I love to go to Mt. Hope as it is a photographers dream.   The first photo you see was going to be my photo of the day - my two boys looking so cute - but then a deer crashed through.  I was so amazed that I missed the first deer.  Major bummer!  But then a  second deer came through and I got it!  Then a third but I missed that one too. They are very quick to begin with and I know the dogs spooked them even more.  Indy took after the deer, but came back pretty quick.  He spent the rest of the walk pretty close to me, but always looking for more deer.  The snow was so deep that if they veered off the trail they had to literally bound over the snow as evident by the last photo of Indy.
