Week 25 Juvenile Eastern Bluebird

Juvenile Eastern Bluebird in the water bath.

Week 24 Male Gold Finch

A male Gold Finch in breeding plumage at the water bath on the bath. I took this one at sunset.

Week 23 Female Tree Swallow

A family of Tree Swallows have moved into the far bird house on the shed.  The mother lets me get incredibly close so I was able to get a really cute photo of her poking her head out of the box.

Week 22 Baby Robin

The baby Robins that were born under our deck finally fledged.  I saw this little one over by the fence.

week 21 Yellow Peony

The yellow peonies out front are just starting to bloom.  I captured this one at sunset.

Week 20 Spring at Mount Hope

Beautiful spring day at Mount Hope.  A nice family of Canada Geese swimming by.

week 19 Tree Swallows

This is the pair of Tree Swallows that tried to take over the Bluebird box.  It appears as though they have been ousted.

Week 16 Circle B Bar Reserve

I discovered the Circle B Bar Reserve near my parents home and had a wonderful time photographing the wildlife there.  Since I have posted so many bird photos I thought I would share this butterfly photo this time.  I hope you enjoy it too.

Week 15 Legoland

We went to Legoland Florida for Rhys' birthday.  This was taken in Legoland USA and I just loved it.

week 14 Feathers found

I know this is a somewhat grisly photo this week, but I really like the composition on it.  I would guess based on what we saw that the Cardinal did not survive.

week 13 Male Bluebird

Our male Eastern Bluebird.  Hoping they stay, but doubting it since the House Sparrows are still hanging around.

Week 12 Littlest Shavee

This weekend was our St.Baldrick's event and my friend Caitlyn's son was our youngest shavee at 23 months.  I was lucky enough to catch this cute photo of him after he shaved his head.

Week 10 Gold Finches at the Feeder

The Gold Finches really got at each other at the feeder. Once spring truly arrives we won't get as many birds at once.

Week 8 Valentine's Lily with Nectar

My sweet husband got me a bouquet of flowers for Valentine's day and some of Lilies opened up this week and had some nectar dripping off of them.  I used only natural sunlight for the lighting of this photo.

Week 7 - Nice Walk in the woods

On our Friday walk at Mt.Hope we ran into a nice gentleman and his Norfolk Terrier. I was worried about how the dogs would be with the little dog as they tend to play pretty rough, but they all did well together and little guy, Finn, ran circles around my big guys!

Week 6 Female House Finch

The female house finches are super quick - they come and go all the time.  Rarely do they land near the window where I can get a nice photo of them.  Yesterday afternoon however, I got lucky.

week 5 Snow Day

We got some snow on Monday January 30 and Indy still wanted to play ball.  He didn't seem to care that it would go missing in the snow - he just sniffed it out and went after with his usual gusto.

Week 4 2012 Male House Sparrow

Week 4 2012 - Male House Sparrow
This little guy took over our Bluebird house during the summer last year and isn't giving it up so far. He better leave my Bluebirds alone - I have put him on notice!

week 2 2012 - Buck

I took this photo on Friday January 13, 2012 during a crazy snow storm at Mt. Hope.  Buck was having so much fun running in the snow because it was a warm 32 degrees out so his old bones were not bothering him that day.  I think he looks like a very younger version of himself here and I absolutely love the snow on the trees around him.

Week 1 - 2012 Male House Finch

This male House Finch landed on the porch railing right outside the window.  Lucky enough to snap this photo right before he flew away.
